So we live in a world of ever changing laws and regulations but more than that we are all on the "virtual" fork in the road... What events happen today may forever alter what we see and do online tomorrow. The new Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) is just that sort of event. Proposed by Republican Larry Smith, SOPA stands to hunt down "rogue sites" that are offering up copy righted material directly or indirectly. It would set up laws allowing the government to force business to stop doing business with any business suspected of nefarious practices. Is that too much power? YES!
